Student placements

At NSS, we provide meaningful placements. You won’t be sitting around sealing envelopes or filing notes.

You will be part of a diverse team with real responsibilities and work goals.

Taking a placement with us will allow you to:

  • learn on the job
  • enhance your studies
  • share your experiences with other students
  • get a good understanding of the disability sector.

Many students have fast tracked their employment by getting work with us after finishing their studies.

Who can apply for a student placement?

Are you studying a Certificate IV in Disability Studies or a Bachelor or Masters of Health Sciences?

We invite you to get in touch to talk about what student placement opportunities we have available.

What happens next?

We will arrange a time for you to meet with us for an interview.

During the interview, we will:

  • ask you about your study and other interests
  • explain our different programs to you.

You will also need to get:

  • a police check
  • a working with children check.

We will pay for both of these checks.

If you are approved for a student placement you will do an extensive induction program before working alongside our staff.
